Are you also ordering a bed for when DC gets older, to match the crib and set?
For those of you whose cribs have optional other matching furniture, do you plan to order a bed too for when DC gets older?
The sets I like, I LOVE THE BED, and am afraid if I wait, the bed will be discontinued by the time DD needs the bed. I hate to wind up not getting the bed in the end, when the bed is the main thing I like along with the crib. I know...I think way ahead sometimes. But I can't help it. I love the bed to go with the set!
What do you plan to do? I am leaning towards buying the bed, and keeping it disassembled in my basement, until we are ready to use it. But it seems crazy to keep a bed for like 3 years in a box?
ETA - Also, what age do kids usually go into a regular bed? And what ages do kids usually use a toddler bed?

I personally never had any intention of buying a crib to bed convert
#1 I dont have space
#2 I dont want to be here that long
#3 I want my child to have a say in their furniture (colors/etc)
So we'll buy her a bed later.. for now she can destroy the crib to toddler bed we have.

All of the sets we like convert to a toddler bed and full bed...the bed is not a separate item (the conversion kit is, however)

The crib I like is convertible, become as toddler bed, then becomes a full sized headboard. But the bed that goes with the collection is a canopy bed (I LOVE IT).
It's nice that I would have a full headboard, I guess I just can't get the canopy bed off my mind. Plus if we had another child, I would probably need the crib/toddler bed for that child and need a big girl bed for DD by then anyway.
I am obsessed with this canopy bed, obviously.

DS's crib is a convertible but my taste changes too much so I never intended to actually use it like that.
The crib is in pieces and he is now in his fire truck toddler bed and then I would like to get a captains bed after this.

DD's set, we didn't. But we just ordered a "youth" set for the twins and ordered 2 twin beds to match just in case.
The set was on sale, so it made our decision a little easier.
