alcohol if you're actively TTC?

Re: Are you completely avoiding
i figure i'll abstain during the tww, but if AF arrives i'll take liberties to have a drink or two during that week and the week after before actively ttc

Re: Are you completely avoiding
I am. Except 2 weekends ago. AF had just showed up and it was my birthday so... I went for a martini and a glass of wine the next day (WHOOO HOOO I was so wild.. ).
Otherwise, no alcohol at all. That was the only weekend in 2 months.

Re: Are you completely avoiding
I drank until about 3 days before I thought I was O'ing and I will drink again if I get a BFP and AF.
Only because I work in an area where I read a lot of medical information everyday- and the lungs, brain and heart begin developing in week three (which is before you would know you are pregnant) unfortunately that is often when damage can be done b/c people have no idea they are pregnant.
I know that there are thousands of people who get pregnant every day who weren't trying so it was a surprise and did tons of things but I figure that since I know I am trying that it isn't worth the chance for me. But this is my individual choice - I believe everyone needs to make their own choices based on what they are comfortable with.

Re: Are you completely avoiding
I did with #1 pregnancy. I have and will absolutely limit my intake this time around. however this is a personal decision. I have to due to my pregnancy condition; hypremisis gravadarum.

Re: Are you completely avoiding
No, I'm not avoiding a glass of wine with dinner on occasion. My understanding is that at that point (during your 2WW) you don't share a bloodstream with the baby anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem. Plus, a glass of wine here and there is relaxing - what could be better for someone TTCing?!
