Are you getting a travel system type carriage/carseat or a carseat and snap and go?
Just wondering because I always figured I would get a travel system type set-up, but my friend who has 2 small children said thats what she did and she wishes she got just a carseat w/ snap and go and then a lightweight stroller for later on because of the heaviness and bulkiness of the other type. What did you get and why?

I am getting a snap and go with the car seat and then a seperate stroller. I am due in December, so I don't see myself using the stroller a whole lot until the baby is older. So, I got the snap and go for going shopping and things like that.

Car seat that can be strapped in to the stroller (Peg Perego Pliko). I also thought the travel systems were too heavy, at least for me.

Re: Are you getting a travel system type carriage/carseat or a carseat and snap and go?
WE got the graco snug ride car seat w/ an extra base and we also opted for the matching stroller - very light weight and easy to use. after we made our decision, i saw 5 of the same strollers in the mall, so i guess it's a good one. do what works best for you. i didn't want to spend money on a snap n go stroller just b/c i know he'll need one later on, so we got one that we could use the whole time.

I did not get a travel system. At first I thought I would, but they just look so bulky to me. I got 2 strollers - a combi and a Pliko 3 as well as the snugride carseat and the snapg and go frame. probbaly overkill, but I can return stuff i don't use.

I did not have the room for both the snap n go and a stroller. I got a travel system. It works great for me.

This is exactly what we are doing. I just didn't want a "travel system" they are too big & bulky for us.
