Are you going in circles Smarty Pants?
Dear Geniuses of the World,
When you have an event or occurence in your life that has you doing as you say:
" A 360,"
... you have NOT had a turn around. You have NOT made progress. You have NOT flip-flopped.
You are EXACTLY where you were when you started.
You should have paid attention in Geometry class ya dolt!
Kisses, Leslie
(Sorry but this irks me beyond belief.)

Re: Are you going in circles smarty pants?
OMG- one of my biggest pet peeves. I always want to say, "You mean 180, genious...."
I also love the "I could care less" statement. If that's the case then you actually DO care somewhat.

160's a pet peeve of mine.
Just kidding, but it is half of 360 degrees, which is a 180.
one of my friends always says "irregardless", and i love her too much to correct her, but it's such a peeve of mine.

Re: Are you going in circles Smarty Pants?
how about the word "supposably"
or from my grandfather: DefCon 5 is the lowest of the DefCon's NOT the highest. If we were at DefCon 1 that is some serious sh!t, not DefCon 5.

Re: Are you going in circles Smarty Pants?
I like to use the misquotes the way they are said, not the way they are meant.
I'll tell people "I could care less... not much, but I think I could care a tiny bit less than I do now..."
I'll sometimes jokingly say I did a 360, in the context that everyone knows I didn't change.
Defcon 5 is still pretty bad...... not the worst, but probably accurate for most uses, even if people don't realize it. A "Defcon 5" scenario means things are pretty bad, but could get much, much worse...

"Now you're cooking with Fire" This one irks the hell out of me. I smack DH whenever he says it.
And the 360 thing makes me If you cannot figure out how to make the math fit the metaphor, just say "MR(S) X. did a complete turnaround." No math needed

It's called a 180!
360 degrees equals a full circle. If you do a 360, you've come full circule. If you've done a 180 (half of 360), you've done a complete turnaround.
