are you KIDDING me? Advice needed! (long)
In my 'hood we all have 1 car driveways - so we park our second car in the street. I can't park in front of my house since I have a hydrant there so I usually park in front of someone elses house.
Well...this morning at 5:25 am my doorbell rings. It's my neighbor from across the street - so I stick my head out the window and ask if everything is ok (I mean, the street must be under attack or something really serious if you are ringing my bell at 5:25). He says "can you move your car - you are blocking my driveway".
Ok - my first reaction is I am going to kill my husband for parking in front of their driveway. So I go outside to move the car - and people - its not even in front of their driveway. Its close...it's right next to it - but they could have EASILY gotten their car out.
So now I am FUMING - but my chicken sh*t neighbor wasn't even outside so I could say something. he went BACK INSIDE his house and didnt leave for work until 6am (in which my DH was already gone for work so it wouldnt have been an issue anyway).
the 2 things that add fuel to the fire are I have an infant - 14 months. So I hung something over the doorbell that says - please dont ring...baby sleeping.
The second is that his kids love to play baseball on the street and have dented both of our cars (right in front of us!) multiple times, and I never said anything since I wanted to be a nice neighbor and not start trouble.
SO I am seeing red....what do I do...say something? Let it go?
I am sooo ******...I need someone to think logically for me.

We have a neighbor who won't park the cars in the driveway but rather in the front of her house so that no one else can park in front of her house. She's a crazy drunk - so what can you do???
I feel your pain!!!

I have a neighbor that wont park his cars in front of his house, but he parks them in front of mine, and the people across the street all the time. He has 3 cars, and they dont even have a driveway....(The neighbors across from him). He will even change his oil and wax his cars across the street...Very rude if you ask me

wow! So sorry you have to deal with that! I would def say something about having an infant and it being hard toi get out of the house. Let your husband know too so he doesn't park near their house either...

Sorry, I'm passive aggressive. I would have went back inside and I would park my car there again, exactly the same way. Let them call the police and be told its a public area.

Tomorrow park the car blocking the driveway completely and then don't answer the door until after you DH leaves.
At this point, they are being azzes.

Re: are you KIDDING me? Advice needed! (long)
That is insane...esp since people in your neighborhood have one car driveways and tend to park on the street (I have a one car driveway so I can relate) I'd be so ****** as well, but I wouldn't want any real confrontation. I would continue to park my car wherever I needed to and if he ever comes to your door again nicely give him a piece of your mind.

I would ask him why he bothered you when the card wasn't even in front of the driveway. Make him feel like an a-hole.

Next time you see him say something that your DH leaves for work before he does and the car would have been moved and to not ring the bell next time to not wake the baby.
You don't want to be a b!tch because that just makes for mean neighbors and misery

I would park my car there every single day in exactly the same spot just to p*ss him off. Let him call the police. The moron!
