Are you OCD when it comes to laundry?
I mean, do you take all sorts of things to the dry cleaner, then totally sort, air dry items, hand wash your intimates, etc??? Or do you just wash and pray?

Re: Are you OCD when it comes to laundry?
Ummm....YES! I sort everything, pretreat stained item, wash almost everything in cold (I think I am paranoid). Dry on low. Iron with starch. And of course take things to the dry cleaner.
I am obsessed with taking care of my clothes and as a result I have things from six or seven years ago that no one knows are that old.

I'm a little nutty when it comes to my laundry also. I dry clean LOTS of my stuff. I also hand wash and hang dry alot too.

Re: Are you OCD when it comes to laundry?
DH and I just ordered front loader washer and dryers so I'll probably have fun with them for awhile...when I lived in NYC everything went to the laundry place....they did ALL my laundry, so I really couldn't be too OCD about it.

I wash everything in cold water.
I pre-treat stains with Shout and or Tide to Go pen (using both works! )
I definitely sort colors from whites/lights and I air dry my bras.

Re: Are you OCD when it comes to laundry?
I air dry all of my bras and jeans. I hate the way jeans come out of the dryer.
I will always soak my whites or clothes that are a little dingy looking in Oxy Clean.

Re: Are you OCD when it comes to laundry?
Nope. I have a fantastic washer and dryer that washes just like if I handwashed and I have a woolite mesh bag for my intimates so that they don't tear. The dryer rocks too and has "air dry" setting and special racks. No dry cleaning bills for me!

Re: Are you OCD when it comes to laundry?
I wash colors and whites separately but that's about it. My husband takes care of going back and forth to the dry cleaner. Most of that stuff is his anyway - shirts and suits for work. I hate to iron so he has his shirts laundered. I have the mesh bag for my intimates but I always forget to use it so my bras and everything else go in the wash right along with regular clothes. So once every couple of weeks I go to put a bra on and find that the underwire popped out or the hooks in the back are no longer there. It's so bad! I hate my washer and dryer (they are ancient). I want a new one so I can have fun doing laundry again! I think my Christmas present will be the whirlpool cabrio!

Re: Are you OCD when it comes to laundry?
I think so.
All clothes get washed in cold water. Sheets and towels get washed in warm.
I sort everything. Pre-treat stains, use the same detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheets for years, I put certain things in mesh bags, and line dry a LOT. I usually have 2 drying racks full of clothes each week. Some shirts get hung on hangers before drying, others have to lie flat, and some shirts go on the hanger inside-out to prevent pointy shoulder look. Clothes have to be folded right away after coming out of the dryer so they don't get wrinkled.
And then I iron pretty much all of my clothes (excluding undergarments) before wearing them. Even my dry clean stuff gets a touch up with the iron before wearing.
OMG...I'm a wacko when it comes to laundry.
