Are you smarter then a 5th Grader (math question)
This is a 5th grade math problem.
This is not a trick question. This is a real math problem so don't say that a bus has no legs.
The bus driver is not part of the equation.
There are 7 girls in a bus.
Each girl has 7 backpacks.
In each backpack, there are 7 big cats.
For every big cat there are 7 little cats.
Question: How many legs are there on the bus

I got 10990 also.
7 girls = 14 legs
49 backpacks with 7 big cats each in them is 343 big cats, each big cat has 7 little cats with them is 2401 little cats.
The total number of cats is 2744 the total number of legs on the cats is 10,976.
Add the girl's legs and there are 10,990 legs in total.
Is that right?

49 kittens x 4 legs= 196
7 cats x 4 legs= 28
7 girls x 2 legs= 14
oops! missed the backpack part
ETA: I hate are you smarter than a 5thgrader....I would love to know what schools give their 5 graders these questions!!!
