Are you supposed to gain weight faster in the last 1-2 months?

I'm 31 weeks. I believe the baby weights about 3 pounds right now.

Since the baby will at least double in size, does that mean I will gain weight a lot faster?

I've gained 15 pounds to date.

I barely gained weight in the first 25 weeks. All my weight gain came weeks 25-39 with most be after week 32.

Everyone is different.

I'm at the end of 37 weeks. I've gained 15lbs total. But so far in my 3rd trimester, I've only gained 3lbs. I have one more week to go before I deliver.

I gained the bulk of my weight in the 1st trimester.

funny, my OB for my first pregnancy told me that i should gain more in the 3rd tri as the baby grows. i've since switched practices, and this one told me that he expects me to gain "20-25 pounds, evenly distributed over the trimesters".

so i have no idea what i'm "supposed" to do.

but i do know that in my first pregnancy it took until 20 weeks for me to gain any weight. i gained the most between about 28-34 weeks, and then in the last 3 weeks i actually lost a pound each week because i couldn't eat (everything was just too cramped in there!).

this pregnancy i've lost 1-2 pounds at 14 weeks... we'll see what happens.

I didn't-- but I gained a lot more upfront. SO happy it slowed down.

I've gained 32lbs so far
Had my 37 weeks appt yesterday, I gained 3lbs in a week!! I am all belly though, and my OB doesn't seem to be concerned of the weight gain.

First pregnancy I gained all my weight in 1 & 2nd trimester. I only gained 4lbs my whole 3rd trimester (42 lbs total).

I've gained 32lbs so far

I have gained 41 lbs so far. It is alot, but my ob isn't concerned. Everyone says I am all belly, but I know that my thighs and butt have expanded too! It seems to be slowing down now, but there were a few appts when I gained 6-8 lbs! The last one was great though, bc I found out I didn't gain anything!

Phew! I was afraid that I would double my weight gain since the baby is supposed to double in size. I'm glad I don't have to expect that.

I gained the most weight during the 3rd trimester, but I had severe swelling.

I gained 9lbs at my 20 week appt. From 20 weeks until my last appt at 32 weeks, I'm up to 27lbs. That is a huge weight gain. I had two appt. that I gained 6-7lbs in 4 weeks. I have an appt. on Monday, I will see what I'm up to now.

Up to 36 weeks, I had gained 16lbs. But, afterwards week 36 and 37 I gained 10lbs. Total=26lbs. I delivered at 37 1/2 weeks. But, I was told that the last two weeks was water weight.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. I lost all my pregnancy weight the same week I delivered.
