That makes me happy! Two years ago (the 2003 election), I went at 7PM, only 2 hours before the polls closed.
I was number 108
I'm glad to see that a high percentage of us are voting today but until it's 100%, it's not enough. People DIE in other countries for this very right that Americans are so quick to cast off.
And, as for only voting in Presidential elections... that's the one vote that will influence your life the least. Your local officials are the ones who pass the laws that influence you most.
If you are not planning on voting today, I urge you to reconsider. It is quite literally the least we can do as citizens.

Re: Are you voting today?
Here is a pdf of a flyer from the league of women voters on the 2 props. Prop 2 is on page 1 and prop 1 is on page 2.

Very well said and I agree 100%.
There are people in other countries risking their lives, walking through very dangerous conditions sometimes several miles to go and vote. I find it amazing and pathetic that voter turnout in this country can be affected by rain or a sale at the mall It takes just a short amount of time yet means so much.

You can go with your marriage certificate. If one of the old biddies gives you a hard time, as to speak to the person in charge of the polling site (there's always one person designated to oversee the sight for elector fraud, etc). If you still have a problem, they will let you vote with a provisional ballot.
