are your bathroom floor and wall tiles the same color?
or do you have lighter walls and darker floors? i'm talking about fairly new bathrooms, not 1970s creations

I just had mine redone.
They are the same color, only difference is that the floor tiles are larger than the wall tiles.

We are turning our 1960s (bright green monstrosity) into a modern bathroom. very dark tiles on floor, very light subway tiles on walls. very modern feel.

Mine are the same, basically b/c I didn't want to introduce another tile/texture however, I have seen light tile done with the slate tile floors and I think it looks gorgeous!

Same here.
In our hall bath though - the wall tiles are white and we have a white floor as well (one of the ones with the octagon and square tiles).

We did the same Floor and Wall tiles in 2 bathroms then did different Floor and Wall tiles in our Master Bathroom. For the master we did dark marble on the floor and a light ceramic with a marble look on the walls.

same for the bathroom we added this past summer! we also out some accent tiles on the walls in the shower stall.

You know my DH is a contractor
With our house in Lynbrook he did the same tile and just put a border of smaller tiles around with different colors
At our new home too they used the same color and the bathrooms are pretty new

Oh, I forgot I have a pic of part of the bathroom. THis is in the shower area so actually the tile is smaller, but all the same color.Image Attachment(s):

thanks everyone.
i just redid my bathroom and did lighter walls, darker floors with a border that brings the 2 colors together.
my mom is getting her house done now. i chose a similar color scheme for her. i went to her house yesterday to check out the wall tiles and realized the tile store gave the contractor the WRONG tiles!! it's the right tile, but the darker floor color. i was so upset. DH and my sister are flipping because they said no one has the walls and floor the same. i disagreed and told them we're the only people i know that have a different floor and wall color.
i'm sure it's going to look fine, and it's not the contractor's fault at all, but i'm upset that it won't look the way i hoped.

Same for us.
And used a constrasting tile for a border in the bathtub/shower wall.
