Argggggg...this toddler stage is tough
So my normally sweet, kind, loving baby has turned into a screaming, whiny, crying toddler
I am at my wits end, it seems like she is NEVER happy, always wants to be held (and at 27 lbs that is not an easy task)
any tips, techniques (short of some ) to make it through this stage???

yes, she is teething but she has NEVER been like this, ever
this has been going on for the past 3 weeks, but my sitter said she has not been too bad, a little needy / whiny but nothing like she is with me

Re: Argggggg...this toddler stage is tough
I just had this talk with the mom I babysit for.
She picked up Gavin today, I was going out to store...So I see her putting Gavin into carseat. he is SCREAMING>
I told her he is such a phony and never does that.
For some reason, he gives it to her hardcore at home. He was born in Feb 07...maybe its just the age?

Re: Argggggg...this toddler stage is tough
I am right there with you. With Lily, her mood seems to change like the wind. One minute she's happy like she always was and the next she's a whiney, clingy, angry, cranky toddler. I just never know what I'm gonna get anymore. I wish I had some suggestions on how to handle it. When she's clingy I usually let her hang out on my lap watching tv until she's better (this happens alot in the morning when she wakes up.) When she gets whiney and cranky for no obvious reason I either try to talk calmly to her, telling her to calmly tell me what she wants/needs. Or sometimes I ignore her. I read somewhere that this is what I should do so that she doesn't learn that she can get what she wants by whining. It's not easy to ignore her, but maybe it will work. I have a feeling it's going to worse for me before it gets better. She's just turning 2 next month and I've read that this can last until 4 or even longer.

It is like a neverending battle.
She is only 19 months. If this lasts until 4, I will
