Argh I hate this CD1 question but I have to ask...

I was NOT expecting AF to get here this early..figured I'd go til at least CD29/30.

When I woke up this morning I thought I was CD27.
Started spotting lightly around 3pm, I guess.

Then full flow came later on in the day- but not enough for me to wear a tampon. I've been wearing liners - may be TMI but I see more when I wipe rather than on the liner. Definitely have cramping tonight.

So....is today CD1 or no?
Or is it tomorrow?

Gonna start using CBEFM soon so...kinda want to be accurate here.

Also- another CBEFM question - I'm waiting on the test sticks to get here. I won't be testing for a few days anyway so I should be okay right?

Not sure if today is CD 1. You won't need the sticks probably until CD 8 or 9

With the CBEFM, you have to be sure to set it by CD5 anything later than that you will have to wait until next month.

You know what call the 1-800 number tomorrow even if today was CD 1 you can always set it tomorrow

Sounds like you're really only having spotting today, so I would count tomorrow as CD 1.

As for the CBEFM, you can set it up to CD 5. If it's your first month, it will ask you to test on CD 6 most likely.

I think it has to be full flow to be CD1 so I would count that as tomorrow.

As far as CBEFM- I don't know- sorry.

the same thing happened to me. Yesterday around 4 I went to the bathroom and AF was here, but only on the tp. It started getting a little heavier around 11 last night. Today she is here fully force. My RE considers it only CD 1 if there is full flow before 5pm so today is CD 1 for me not yesterday.

This is how I do it:
If I get slight red bleeding on the toilet paper then I get full bleeding the next day I count the full bleeding as day CD1. I wait to set the CBFM to the next day and set it back to day 1. That way my CD and the monitor are the same.

If the flow is still more on the "spotty" side, then I would count today as CD1 (that is if it is here in full force). My RE told me that as long as you had a full flow (tampon needing) by 8PM, then you can count that day as CD1...
