Around the house projects.....

Besides getting the nursery done, are you working on any other house projects that "have to" be done before the baby is born?

For us, we are putting a new tile floor in the kitchen - and I have a feeling it will lead to other remodeling in the kitchen......I want to get the carpets and air ducts clean this spring.

We just bought our house in December. We started construction in January and just finished the entire top floor of the house (3 BRs, including nursery and a full bath). We're starting downstairs in the next few weeks. I want to have the kitchen done before the baby's born (June), which also means the dining room and 1/2 bath will get done at the same time. It's really frustrating though!!!!

I want to re-doo the kitchen and bathrooms and put new carpet down in the living room, and bedrooms... All of this before June... I don't know if I can take it...

Yes, I want to put a built in closet in the 3rd bedroom that will now be the computer room. Other then that, we can't do too many projects because we are adding a second floor and completely redoing the downstairs so what would be the point?

Yes, we are moving Andrew to a new room and keeping the nursery as is, but we need to have central AC installed soon because the rooms dont have windows you can put an AC in. The windows are casement windows. So we need central AC. I should make calls today to get estimates!

Then there's a long list of other projects that can be done at any time. My mom only lives 5 minutes away, so I can take the kids there during the day if I need to.

We are always redoing something around here We love home renovation projects! After we did her nursery we treated ourselves to new paint, carpet, molding etc in our room. Now DH wants to do the master bath and guest room and I am like please wait till after she arrives, lol...

We closed on Halloween and we were doing work on it until we moved into the house in mid-January. We still have to get everything out of the guest room and put it in the attic (storage stuff), prime, paint, and decorate the guest room. We will try to put in the new driveway, retaining wall, new windows and siding but my doctors have told me I might go earlier than we first thought so it might have to wait until after I have my .

Actually, this is one of the reason we waited to get preggo - we had to do the house first - so we are done !! Just a fence this year and that is it! I would love to replace carpets, but financially can't tackle that yet. I will settle for a good steam clean before baby arrives.

We need to get a new railing so we can put the gates up for one the little one is crawling around. We also want to get a new shed but that's mainly because my DH wants on before this summer not b4 the baby.
