Re: Artichokes
I stuff them..... I just cut the bottom a little so they are flat and sit nice in pot. Then I open the leaves and wash it. Then spoon some seasoned (garlic, parm cheese, etc) breadcrumbs in the leaves. Put in a pot (like what you boil pasta in), with water 1/2 way up the artichokes and cook (covered) until the leaves remove easily.

Re: Artichokes
I steam them. Cut the tops and the bottoms off and trim any sharp leaves, then place them upside down in a steamer over boiling water for 40 - 45 min. Then pull the leaves off and enjoy!
ps- 2 artichokes are a dinner for me, DH wont touch them

Re: Artichokes
All different ways....
Stuffed...steamed...Baked (hearts)...marinated (hearts)...
My girls actually eat them and I still get such a kick out of seeing these two picky kids polish off a whole artichoke..so we eat them a lot around here.

Re: Artichokes
Love artichokes!
Boil them in water with lemon, and then dip in EVOO with garlic, salt/pepper..
As an ingredient in a main meal, I love this Tyler Florence Artichokes with Pork Sausage, Lemon and Sage Recipe.
