Aruba / US VI
Aruba and USVI - St. Thomas ...Any resort recommendations? Also, do you need a passport (I am assuming yes for Aruba)...
thanks!

Aruba yes to a passport
My DH and I stayed at a private home with its own swimming pool when we went to Aruba and it was the BEST!!!!
It was right across the hightway from the airport..but the planes werent a pain. We were renting a car anyway so not being by the beach didnt bother us. the house has a grill and a full kitchen so we had breakfast and packed a lunch and went to the beach each day. It was fantastic!!
We loved Aruba and want to go back maybe this year!!

The Bucuti Beach Resort is beautiful! We stayed in the Tara Beach Suites which are new and oceanfront. I loved that there were no children around.
There's a high rise side where the Hyatt and other chains are and the low rise side where we stayed. If you just want to relax and get away from it all, stay on the low rise side. If you want a lot of nightlife and entertainment (besides the beach and the beach bar) stay at the low rise side.
But Aruba was beautiful! Definitely explore the island.

Definitely look into the Renaissance. It is the only hotel centrally located in town, so you dont have to rent a car. Its also the only hotel that boasts it own private island for sunbathing and sunset massages.

Divi Divi in Aruba is great. It has it's own private beach, it's not the strip with the other hotels. It's also 5 minutes from the towns.
