As Crazy as it sounds, I'm starting to believe it
I seriously am starting to believe that I am allergic to Manhattan! I used to just say it as a joke but honestly I was the kid/adult who was never ever sick. I've been working in Manhattan for about 1.5 years now, and I am sick ALL the time.
It's really starting to get ridiculous already

I'm sorry.
It could be your body not liking the pollution -- but more likely it's just that you are in closer proximity to a much great number of people in Manhattan, which means more germs coming your way every day.
Do you commute? Train and/or subway time also exposes you to a lot of germs.

Yes, LIRR and the Subway. No matter how many times a day I wash my hands and even use the antibacterial soap, I can't beat it. My mother told me my body will adjust and my immune system will strengthen I'm just not used to it yet. She kind of equated it with new teachers and them getting sick from the kids more so when they started.
An y ideas on how to boost your immune system? Aside from vitamins

Eat healthy, take your vitamins every day, exercise, and get enough sleep. That's about the best you can do.

I think its probably like moving to a new house. Whenever I move to a new house or apt I get sick for a few weeks while my body gets used to a new environment and new germs, etc.
Eventually your body and immune system will adjust and you'll stop feeling so crappy! You can take vitamins too of course, but I believe your body will naturally work itself out as well.
Sorry you don't like the city right now
