As if paying for the party weren't enough...
We are having Jeremys 2nd birthday party at Gymboree. So we are paying an arm and a leg for 14 kids to play and have pizza and cake for 1 1/2 hours. I don't need to be cleaning, cooking, planning stressing being 9 months pregnant. I got the paperwork for the party and on the bottom it says something about tipping the person who is going to be playing with the kids and doing the party. I am going to be paying over $350 for an hour and 1/2 you'd think they could find some money to pay the instructor person.

WE did my son's 2nd b-day at My Gym and I am pretty sure we tipped those working too! It certainly does add up!

Money well spent in my opinion not to have to cook, clean or entertain. Especially being 9 months pregnant!

Yes, I agree... I wasn't gonna do the whole party (pizza) but I had to. I'm just thrilled I can sit there and watch

We have always tipped the hostesses when we had bday parties out someplace. 20% like a normal tip.

I used to be that person and I really counted on tips. We got paid squat!

I just can't believe they are being that upfront about it. I thought tipping was discretionary!

Re: As if paying for the party weren't enough...
dont parties ALWAYS include tip in the final bill ?
They work hard and deserve it though, we know what it takes to work with a bunch of kids
and I heard this is just the beginning (of the days of paying so much for parties once they are in school )
