Asia went to the vet today....
she had a rash down there....so I took her to the vet and would you BELIEVE they called her....CHUBBY ??? They said she has "fat folds" around her pee pee and it retains moisture causing a rash My girl - chubby????? Image Attachment(s):

It's tough to tell if she's chubby from that pick; they should be standing and have that nice bow look around their waste...you should even be able to feel the ribs (not protruding or anything, but be able to feel that they are there);
We are always watching our Pugs' weight, since they have tendecies for chubbiesness!
Regardless, Asia is beautiful!!!

poor baby!!! Bailey reacts to dry air badly! Her skin breaks out and she gets all itchy! When we last took her she was only 85 lbs and the vet said she'd prefer her to stay around there for her health.
Asia is beautiful!!!

thanks girls - I'm going to try and get a new pic of her upright. I'm so sad though - she is miserable. She's peeing every hour because of the prednisone and she's just a lump. Very unlike her. She does seem to have stopped licking at it which was the biggest problem - she's just so sad looking

Well, the licking has definitely started to subside - I'm so happy...but it just seems like she's all doped up. Kathy - do you think a 16 day cycle of prednisone and antibiotics is alot for this type of rash?

My DH really couldn't answer that question without seeing the rash, the bloodwork and her chart.; sorry.

Understandable...thanks for asking. Although they didn't do any bloodwork. The rash is pretty much gone - she's just still a lump.

Asia is so sweet.
Prednisone does make you pee a lot. I am on it, and I am always thirsty. Just watch her food intake because it makes you very hungry!!!
