Ask Japan Airlines to Stop Transporting Dogs to Vivisection Labs!
Please check out this important information about Japan Airlines, which is transporting beagle puppies from New York City to vivisection laboratories in Tokyo. The journey to Japan can take up to 28 hours. Dogs are crammed into tiny transport cages, do not receive any food or water during the long journey, and may be forced to sit in their own waste. Cargo holds often lack adequate air conditioning, heating, and ventilation, so animals may endure temperature extremes or suffocate from insufficient oxygen. And this is just the start of the animals' suffering.
Click the link below to send a quick note to Japan Airlines asking it to follow the lead of Air Canada and other compassionate airlines by refusing to transport dogs and other animals to vivisection laboratories.

Re: Ask Japan Airlines to Stop Transporting Dogs to Vivisection Labs!
I am dumb - what is a vivisection lab? (I will sign anyway - so pups don't get transported like this!)
ETA - I just googled it and what I am reading in just the small caption makes me afraid to open any of the websites....I guess it is a lab where animal testing is done?

Posted by karacg I guess it is a lab where animal testing is done?
No...it's a cruel practice of conducting "animal tests" on live animals. The animals are basically tortured in the name of science...

signed it. I also went to the Covance Cruelty site to send a letter about them. They do horrible things to primates and beagles. They are located near me, I have seen their building. They used to be Hazelton (the lab where the epidemic "Outbreak" is based on happened) The monkey video and pics really upset me!

Re: Ask Japan Airlines to Stop Transporting Dogs to Vivisection Labs!
In addition, I question Japan's pet industry as well. I went into a few pet stores in Japan, and wow. So many pets in tiny cages. Japan is such a cutesy society and they love their small dogs as accesories. Sometimes they get a dog or cat and then get rid of it within a few years. If you thought puppy mills were a problem on the US, I think they problem is much worse over there, from what I saw.
Does anyone have any info about Japan's pet industry?
