Asparagus related question
Are you supposed to peel the stalks. I have always just listened to my mother and have just been peeling them. Is that normal?
I ask because she used to also IRON my fathers UNDERWEAR. So realizing she does everything overboard, I am just curious about the asparagus.

I've never done that  but I'm still learning how to cook, lol. Maybe I've been eating funny asparagus!

You normmaly can just snap off the end.
If the end is still thick, you can peel just the end, so the stalk is of a more even thickness & will cook more evenly.
Do wash them though, sometimes dirt gets in the tips.
