ASPCA-do they sell donor names?
I was stopped by a young girl in Staples last summer and got suckered into becoming a monthly donor. I felt terrible saying no because let's be real...it's animals!
But ever since then, I get envelopes weekly from OTHER animal rescue funds asking for donations.
Now, how did that happen?

ASPCA-do they sell donor names?
I call it the Sucker List, charities do sell your name While I don't know about ASPCA, I donated to The Seeing Eye- (seeing eye dogs) and I have since received constant mail about other animal charities. I assumed they sold my name.
My son donated to some food banks and the mail he gets now is unbelievable. However I donate to LI Cares, and LI Harvest and do not believe they sell names, since I don't get other soliciting mail.
Generally when you donate on a charities website, the ones that don't sell, do state that.
Enjoy the return address labels and notepads!

Haha, that's the thing! I'm not getting anything lol!
But I agree about LI Cares. I've donated multiple times and I don't get anything from other charities.

Whenever DH donates to something or gives out personal info he will spell his name slightly differently so that he knows who it was who sold his info.
Because yes they absolutely do sell your name.

I've done this!! And it's crazy how much they sell your info! There is a list you can get on to opt out of certain mailing lists. I forget the site off hand.
