AT&T Wireless - Contraction Termination Fee?
My contract is up in August. If I terminate in July, is the $175 fee pro-rated or would I be responsible for the entire amount, anyone know?

I just went through this with them. You will be charged $175. The new deal with them pro-rating you is only for new customers.

Re: AT&T Wireless - Contraction Termination Fee?
Ahh okay thanks!!
I'm just annoyed because I upraded my phone a few months ago, but ended up returning it the next day. I can't get a new phone now and it tells me I'm eligible in 2009 online. When I call they tell me I can order an upgrade over the phone, but this is only after explaining the situation endlessly, then they find the correct "notes" on the account, blah blah blah. I'll just stick it out until August and then dump em. Thanks!

Re: AT&T Wireless - Contraction Termination Fee?
I just went through this with them- my contract was up in a month, I wanted out. My cell phone was busted and I couldn't get one discounted without signing on for another 2 years, I refused to pay full price or deal with ebay for 1 month's worth of service.
Their service was HORRIBLE.
I alled once, months before, and they told me it was $10 per remaining month to get out of a contract. Then when I called to get out of it 1 month early they told me $175. I kept calling until they finally spoke to a manager and got me out of the contract with no penalty fee.
Ask to speak to a manager- if you have a good reason (or bother them enough) you may get out of it.
