At 8-9 months what solid/table food do you give?
We got the ok to give soft cheeses about a month ago but haven't yet. We've tried cheerios, puffs, yogurt, zwiebach toast, all with no problems. The doctors basically told us that we can give her just about anything that we think she can "chew".
I'm looking to find out what you've given at this age, or around this age? What else should we be trying? What kind of table food should we try or is she still too young? TIA!!

Jenna is pretty much on mostly all table food now-some of her faves are mini pancakes, scrambles eggs, pastina, chicken tenders or nuggets, cut up veggies, watermelon and mashed potatoes. (eta-she just turned 10 months).

I g ive marissa what ever I am eating I jsut break it up in small pieces.. She loves hotdogs I take the skin off and break it up small, she loves veggies fruits and pasta as well as eggs pancakes and waffles. For meats I give her just about anything just make sure its in little pieces and she eats great. I tell you its so much easier.

Wow, I feel like I'm so behind. the meats and all do you buy it in the baby food or you make it from our own food like eggs and waffles?

Jenna has pretty much refused any baby food now that she's on solids. She LOVES the precooked/seasoned Tyson chicken strips from Sams Club-they are so quick too-just take few strips out, nuke em for like 30 seconds open a jar of carrots and dinner!

Re: At 8-9 months what solid/table food do you give?
Nick is almost 10 months, and I still only give him the puffs, wagon wheels, biter biscuits, and some toast. He gags on anything else, so that makes me think he is not ready. Even most Stage 3 foods he won't tolerate well. I have tried other things that are not lumpy, etc., but he is just not interested! Oh, and I get nervous because he still has no teeth.... AND I have to watch him like a hawk with anything - he puts the ENTIRE wagon wheel in his mouth!

I tried some american cheese today and she did great with it. I'm going to try pasta in the next couple of days. If she does well with that then I'm going to try waffles.
Thanks for all the tips!
