At least I don't have to tip anyone this year!
so now the doorman and people who work in the building aren't speaking to us
Hi- we are the victims- stop treating me like I did something wrong
sorry no one has ever stood up for themselves before around here- but I am the type of person to just roll over when I am right
so now- no tip for you- you don't want to say good morning to me when I say it to you- then I don't have to tip you!
I have never experince anything like this in all of the building I have lived in- it's a pretty terrible feeling
but all the people who live in the building are very nice- so we are trying to make the best of it for the next 11 months- maybe we will find a house by the summer and just pay the rent for the rest of lease and move out

so what's the update on Jake's car?
well- since the police who they sent over to the building yesterday morning- didn't know the law
I had to go back to the police station last night and file a report- there were suppose to do that and take the tapes yesterday- but they didn't
so now it's being investigated by the dectitives
and my lawyer is starting the process of the civil matter and he is also trying to get her to turn over the tapes
at this point- it's not even about the car- we are getting it fixed one way or another- it's the principle
no one in the garage has denied it- they just say they aren't saying anything
I understand they need to cover their a$$ but that is also a crime- according to the 109th precinct- who are great- except for the 2 cops that came over yesterday morning

we want her charged with interferring with a criminal procescution if she doesn't give the tapes or if she alters them in anyway
we are basically going to torture her until she tells the cops who stole the car- and we are pretty sure she will -
I found out no one in the building likes her- so I want her fired as well
so many people have told us horror stories - none as bad as ours- but I am sure we will hear some
I also called channel 2, 7 and 11
and will keep calling them until someone wants to do the story
and I filed a complaint with the department of consumer affairs
I am doing everything I can

Good for you fighting this matter...I hope everyone works out for you and the people learn a lesson from this
too often people won't fight because it is not worth the hassle and then something happens to another person
i am sorry this happened right after moving in and the feeling of being violated - i hope taking action and getting justice - takes away some of those feelings

they are expecting us to just say- oh forget and get the care fixed and be done with it
and maybe in the past people have let them get away with it- but that's not who I am
I called my Dad in tears last night over this- and he yelled at me- and reminded me that I am not the type of person to just give up
so I hung up the phone- calmed myself down- and called the police- and his lawyer
yes it's just a car- but it's MY car!

I'm sorry you are going through this. I hate it when people say "oh it's just a material thing"...it's not yours.
when I first got my car, some guy in a aprking lot slammed his door open into my car and when I went around to look, and gave him a dirty look he started yelling at me saying "I know its your first car and you pray to it at night, but it's just a material thing, it's a just a car" I was like "it's MY car, it's not your car to do what you want to it"
