at my wits end! - what color is your bedroom?
I am just so bad at picking out paint!!!!
Here is our bedroom furniture:
bedroom set
I am shopping for new bedding so I am open to anything. I'll try to post pics of the space later, but we just dormered and the room is big - it has cathedral ceilings - no fixtures yet.
Any suggestions?????

Re: at my wits end! - what color is your bedroom?
Our MBR is done in China Rain by Glidden. It's a very very pale green - so much so that it looks white in certain lights, but in other light, there is definitely green there. Our furniture is espresso and we've had 2 different bedding sets that we've used. One is a purple/green quilt and the one we are using now is an ivory/burgundy quilt. Both blend in very nicely with the wall color. It's very neutral, light and airy.

Re: at my wits end! - what color is your bedroom?
the color options are endless with the wood tone of your furniture. i would begin by selecting a color palette for the bedding, art, accessories, window treatments, and area rug(?). once you have decided on this items, selet a coordinating color for the walls.
i made the mistake of selecting the wall color (behr french gray) prior to deciding on the other items in the room and had a REALLY hard time finding bedding.

Agree with pp. Rugs, curtains, and bedding are harder to find to your taste and price range. I would look at some of these items and then pick the paint color last. Paint is the same price no matter the color and the possibilities are endless.
I have a similar tone of wood in my MB and I have gold walls with deep red bedding and black accents. Very dramatic, not for everyone, but I love it.
I think warm colors would bring out the color in that wood beautifully. There are some nice beiges available with a warm tone too if you want to go more neutral. My living room is Behr Clean Air and I love it.

We have cherry wood sleigh bed and furniture in our bedroom - we have one wall in 'Coffee Bean' from Valspar and three walls in 'Lettuce'...
I do have pictures.. Once I find my cord that connects my camera to the computer, they will be on here.. (terrible packer when it came to moving )

Re: at my wits end! - what color is your bedroom?
I love what you've chosen for furniture. We're looking at something very similar. Our bedroom is a Benjamin Moore color called Niveous and it's very similar to that creamy color in the photo you posted. It's got just a hint of bronzy gold/olive tones - very slight in some lights. We went with a bronzy green carpet and the curtains will be a soft olive with gold leaf prints. I'm waiting on the bedding until we get the furniture.

Re: at my wits end! - what color is your bedroom?
mine is Nautical grey by Behr - it's actually more of a blue. I love the color but if I could do it again I would do a beige color so that I could always change my bedding.

thanks - that's great advice. My problem is I'm so indecisive because I want something where I'll be able to change the bedding from time to time. I'm so afraid to "commit" to a color and DH says if I paint another room beige he'll kill me lol.

Re: at my wits end! - what color is your bedroom?
Our Master BR is BM Brittany Blue. It's a light slate blue. And we have dark cherry furniture.
You can do a lot of different colors with a slate blue color. Check out my Album
In the Fall I put burnt orange accents in the room. Love it all together. If you look at slate blue, light sage green, burnt orange, tan, brown, they all go together very well. So if you would have a sage green comforter with slate blue accents, it ties the room together.
Here is what I mean.
See the 4 candles in this picture, they all go together.
