At what age did you start doing easter egg hunts?
Also if you did it for children under 2, what did you put inside the egss?

You can put little stickers inside plastic eggs. Won't cause cavities and not a choking hazard.

we use real eggs colored eggs. we are starting this year. he will have just turned 18 months on Easter.

We're gonna attempt one this year. DS will be 2. I might put money in the eggs (like pennies) since lately DS is getting the "money" thing (ie that he wants some).

See i was gonna do change, but was concerned she would try and eat it. We also can not do hard boiled eggs, I know DD to well. those will be tossed and broken. She will think its a game

Well, at 2 is she still putting things in her mouth?? DS stopped that a while ago. He will be around 28 months too.
I cannot do the hard boiled eggs due to my dog eating them!!!

the frist year we did it DS was just about 2 and we put puff/cheerios/other little snacks.

DD did her first egg hunt last year at 2y4m. They were plastic eggs with candy in them.

I'm going to try this year. DS will be almost 16m. I know its early but we'll see. I wont really hide them, just place them randomly like the couches, pillows, on the floor. He might be motivated if he knows theres snacks in there. Puffs, cheerios, craisins.

We did it last year but he didn't really get it - he was just happy w/ the 2 eggs he found to bang them toether and take out the stickers inside .......
We'll try again this year (he'll be 2) I think he'll get the concept a bit more ........
