At what age did you start to teach your kid to dial 911???
I was thinking of teaching DD this but Im nervous she will dial it just because...KWIM???

I haven't fully taught her yet, but she has a learning phone that says "in an emergency, dial 911", but how do you teach her an emergency??
I did recently introduce her to a police officer because she thought they only put bad guys in jail (I watch too much COPS  ). So I wanted her to learn that she can go to a Police Officer if she needs help and they are safe.

Teach? Not yet, but at 17 months, she is VERY skilled at making a "emergency calls" from my locked blackberry...

I started teaching DD this at age 3...we had a book that explained different types of emergencies with a little phone attached to it that made the child dial 911 after each paid they read.

I think we have the same book.
We started shortly after age 2. Although, until recently they only wanted to dial 9-1-1-1.
