At what age did you switch carseats?
My DD is getting too tall for her infant seat..you could tell she is starting to get uncomfortable.
At what age did you switch to the convertible car seat?

DD is 7 months and we just put the convertible seat in DH's car. We still use the infant seat in my car, but I leave it in there for the most part since she was getting to heavy to carry.

5.5 months. I just couldn't lug the thing anymore and he screamed every time he was in it. I had enough. Sure, it's a pain in the rear taking him out when he is napping and using the whole lightweight stroller and getting him snapped into it but it's better than driving home with him screaming at the top of his lungs everyday.

DS is 11 months, under 21 lbs, and about 28.5 inches long. He's still in the infant carseat (goes up to 30 lbs or 30 inches long).
I am happily waiting until he grows out of it before moving him to a convertible. I don't really carry or lug the carseat around. I snap it into his stroller so really all we need to do is pick it up from the stroller to put in the car and vice versa.

4 months because the infant seat was getting too heavy to carry and we were having to bend his legs in all sorts of ways to get him in and out of the seat.

We just switched at 11 months and almost 22lbs. I was prolonging it because I wasn't ready for him to go to the "big boy" seat yet! He loves it now!

DS is almost 5 1/2 months old - 28 inches and 20lbs 11ozs so we are switching him any day now. I am just dreading it because the infant car seat is so convenient now that it is so cold out.
