At what age did your baby start yogurt?
i had her 5 month well visit yesterday but forgot to ask, i think it was 6 months i did with my ds, but my dd is already eating EVERY kind of fruit and veggie (except berries, and things she clearly isnt supposed to have until after a year) so i do think shes ready..the yobaby i bought yesterday (in case she can have it) says for babies over 6 months..but since shes already eating all of these things, do you think theres harm in trying them alil early?

The doctor told me at 6 months I could start it, but I haven't yet.

and i never heard that about berries - did your ped tell you this? DS has been eating berries for a while now.

i just assumed no strawberries, and my paper says no fresh berries yet ...i was about to start blueberries and thought maybe i should hold off?

hmm, yea i see everyone is starting at 6 months...do you think though that since shes done so well with all of the other foods, shed be ok to start it? or should i just wait?
shes eating:
apples
bananas
pears
peaches
mangoes
papaya
avocados
green beans
spaghetti squash
butternut squash
sweet potatoe
carrot
and oatmeal/multigrain/rice cereal

i know that some children are highly allergic to strawberries but my ped never said no berries, and for me, it was just like any other food. i gave it after 6 months and made sure he didn't have a reaction before giving it again.
in jarred food, DS has had strawberries, blueberries and blackberries, he will have raspberries soon (which i believe are very similar to blackberries).
he has not had any fresh berries yet but only b/c we don't really buy them, not because my ped said not to. but of course i would definitely defer to my ped first

I started at 9 months because the ped never told me when to start and I wanted to change it up a bit.

YoBaby plain at 6 months. She's almost 2 and still has one (the fruit ones) every day, she loves it.

I got the ok at my 9 month well visit we just started it and DS loves yogurt! (thank goodness he is picky with everything else)

7 months.... DS started solids at 6 months, and I wanted to wait an extra month before introducing yogurt
