At what age do u use a blanket?

i have used it only a few times during nap times. i am still a bit wary. also afraid that he'll kick the blanket off somehow. the sleepsac is still the best, imo. i'll continue using the blanket once in a while more until i notice that he's comfortable with it.
ds is 10mos.

Both DC were spring babies, so the first winter was sleepsacks, and we started using blankets during their 2nd winter, so around 18 mo. Didn't want to risk having them wrap the blanket around their throats. Even the hand-knitted ones with lots of holes can strangle a baby.
