At what age does a baby start teething?
 Just want to make sure that six weeks is too early. I think I am just too neurotic about it..

my dd began teething at 2 months, cut her 1st 2 teeth at 4 months

A lot of the behaviors that people attribute to teething are also just developmentally appropriate behaviors...such as drooling, putting things in the mouth, etc.
The only real way to know that a baby is teething is seeing the little teeth buds in their gums. And it can happen at any time - some babies are born with teeth....some don't get them until after they are a year old!

2 months he started drooling a lot and sucking on his fingers. I thought it was early stages of teething.
At 4 months he is drooling through all his clothes and gnawing on anything that comes near his mouth, but no sign of teeth yet. And he runs his tongue over his front gums.

DD has two bottom teeth (she is 6mth corrected age). She started drolling by 4 mths.

DS started teething around 2-3 months.. but it took until about 5 1/2 months to cut his first teeth.. that was a long few months

DS staretd at 8 weeks but did not cut his first tooth until 9 mos. he had very "juicy" gums for months, and begin chewing anything...his hand, his toys, etc. He got 3 teeth at once & is now cutting another 5.

dd started at 2 months and cut her 2 teeth just a couple days shy of 6 months.

same here but DS got his first one at exactly 5mos old.
