At What Age??? Eyes...
At what age does a child's real eye color come in? My DD is 2.5 months and her eyes have been looking green. But today they looked blue. When will they stay one color?
Also, at what age can you tell if they will need glasses or not. My DH has had glasses since he was little. I'm praying my DD doesnt need them but I want to know when I should start looking out for the signs that she may need them.

As for eye color, they can change anywhere up to 18 months-2 years.
As for glasses, just keep an eye on her eyes. Check for any lazy eye or if you notice anything, you can always take her to the opthamologist. Just an FYI though, alot of babies are born with googly eyes that self correct within a few months.

DS has dark blue eyes. He's 5 months now, and the doc said they are likely to stay blue.
But yes I have heard the hue can change up to 2 years....my nephew has green eyes but sometimes they have a lot of yellow in them....

My son has green eyes, but they were blue until he was around 6 years old or so.
My daughter has blue for now and she's a year old.

Here is what I have found out from various sources and what I have found to be true...
1.If the child is born with brown eyes they arent changing..they will stay brown.
2. Essentially if your child is born with blue eyes and they get LIGHTER in the early months they they will stay light.
3. If your child has light eyes (not brown) they may change up until about 3 years...either lightening even more from blue to grey or going to green when yellow makes an appearence.
4.In general most eye color is determined by 6 months of age..

Julia's was blue at birth, then changed to green at like 5 months, then changed to brown at a year and stayed that way.

Ava's kept changing up until 1.5 I'd say. She started blue, went to green and is now hazel.

DS was born with dark blue eyes and they kept getting lighter as he got older, at 9 months they are so blue and the doctor said they will prob stay that way

Kaitee's eyes went from blue to green around 7 months old. She is now 20 months and they are still the same color as when she was 7 months old.
