Re: At what age was your child fully potty trained?

My daughter is turning 3 on Sunday and she just finally got it and is now potty trained.

I've heard kids as young as 18 months to 3 1/2; depends on the child and when they are ready.

My son is 2 years, 9 months and he is almost there. Still needs to work on pee pee ALL the time in the potty, but by the time he is 3 in May I am hoping for fully trained. He's been #2 trained for 2 months now.

Re: At what age was your child fully potty trained?

My DD is in the same place as Trish's Andrew - she's 2 1/2 and is almost there...no poop accidents but peeing in her pants here and there (some days better than others). My DS was fully PT when he was about a month past his 3rd birthday. They're all different though, my nephew was 4 in Oct and while he's fully pee trained and wears underwear all day, doesnt poop. And then at night he gets a pull up and poops. They cant get him to do it on the potty - I know my brother is very frustrated but what can you do? It's a control issue (psych not physical in this case), you cant make them do it.

ETA: My son was older than my DD and he trained literally overnight - he just decided he was ready. My DD, we have some accidents, so we wonder if the age difference plays a part in the ability to train quicker.
