At what point did you stop burping your DC?
If so, at what age?
I was with my friend yesterday who has a 10 month old and she mentioned not burping her DS anymore. It didn't really dawn on me that you stop, but then again, I don't usually see a mom burping a toddler 
So when did you stop? DD is 6 months old and gets burps up on her own, but I still burp her after BFing sessions.

I stopped burping my first 3 at 3 months old. At that age they could get the burps up themselves. My 4th baby is 3 months old now and I still burp him. He is a gassy gus.

My DD is 12 weeks and for the past 2 weeks...most of the time after a feeding she'll sit on my lap and burp on her own. Once in awhile she'll get a little fussy and I'll pat her back a few times and it comes right up. 90% of the time I don't burp her anymore.

Thanks! Wow, I didn't realize people stopped so soon. DD has always been a gassy baby. I think she need the help. But now I think she might be at the point that she can do it without me.

I don't do it very often at DD is 4 months. Don't remember when I stopped with my twins, but it was around the same time.

We stopped around 5-6 months. One day, I just noticed that he was burping on his own most of the time, before I even had a chance to burp him. After that, I only burped him if a few minutes had gone by and he hadn't burped on his own yet. Usually, once they can sit up on their own, they can burp on their own.

5-6 months. i think once he started taking solids we stopped burping. he would burp on his own
