at what point do you start acupuncture and how often do u go?
im just wondering if it really helps and when i should start it. i am *hopefully* beginning a low-dose of lupron this week.

I've been going and I haven't started IVF yet. I would just go. It can't hurt and you may love it like I do. Very relaxing and zen.

You should start ASAP. They do say it takes about 3 months to make a difference but you will notice relaxation immediately. I love it, been going for a while.

thanks ladies. at orientation and at the office, no one has made mention of acupuncture. i learned about it through here. did you centers bring it up to you at all and stated that it helped?

My RE's office has nothing to do with my acupuncture. Though when I asked they thought it had some benefits, though more research needs to be done.

i saw a lot of raves about andrea hugler.
does anyone know her pricing?
also how often does everyone go?

I go once a week on Fridays in the city. Love my acupuncturist. I think there are so many benefits to it.
Mine thinks it's a conflict of interest to have an acupuncturist in the RE's office.

I go once a week and I love it - I feel so relaxed afterwards. And I have noticed changes in my cycle - no PMS symptoms, longer cycle, etc. My RE didn't recommend it, I found an acupuncturist on my own that specializes in IF and works with most of the RE practices where I live.

I went to her 2-3x a week and I believe that she made a difference in my cycle. She takes my insurance so I only paid $20 each time...
She is great! Have fun....

I go once a week and we talk about where I am in my cycle and she adjusts accordingly.
