Re: At what point do you start monitoring kick count
my dr never told me to count the kicks but he did say if a 'long time" goes by when you dont feel anything, drink something sweet, that should get the baby to move around. If not, then call us.
At 22 weeks I dont think I was constantly feeling the baby like I was later on in the pregnancy.

Re: At what point do you start monitoring kick count
I am 24 weeks and don't feel the baby constantly-- I wouldn't worry about it. It's really too early to feel everything.

Re: At what point do you start monitoring kick count
I will be 24 weeks on Monday.
I mostly feel the baby at night and sporadically during the day.
I think we are still too early in the game to feel constant and heavy movement.

Same here. My doc told me if I don't feel for like a stretch of 6-8 hours to drink a large glass of ice cold OJ and lay on my left side. If I don't feel him within an hour of that, give a call. This was later on though...not as early as 22 weeks. I didn't feel my guy very strongly until much later.

Re: At what point do you start monitoring kick count
I'm 33 weeks and my doctor never told me to "count" kicks but to just pay attention if I don't feel him for a period of time. Up to this point he's been very active in there

Re: At what point do you start monitoring kick count
HEre is a great link, basically saying you really need to be around 28 weeks to do this accurately.http://www.babyzone.com/pregnancy/fetal_development/article/fetal-kick-counts

I read that you should start counting kicks in the 7th month.
