at what point would you be concerned? weight gain related
when i was pregnant with DS i was up about 8 lbs. at 12 weeks.
with this one, i am down 2 lbs at 12.5 weeks.
now, granted, i was 14 lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight when i got pregnant again so it's not like i am underweight or anything.
i have food aversions but i snack all day, and eat a decent lunch and dinner, and i have never vomited at all.
i guess i'll feel better after i see the little one at my ultrascreen tonight...

Re: at what point would you be concerned? weight gain related
I am like this.. With the first i was up 15lbs at 13 weeks and at 13 weeks this time, i was minus a few lbs..
I had 10lbs to lose from the first baby so we are in the same boat.
Now at 19 weeks i'm up 6lbs. Last time at 19 weeks, i was up 25lbs.
The dr is happy with my gain and says she definitely doesnt want me to gain what i gained with the last pregnancy (60lbs)
You are fine.. Baby is so small right now.. Enjoy it! The less you have to lose later!

I wouldn't be worried at all. I think I gained like 5 lbs by 20 weeks and I wasn't overweight to begin with. Now at 34 weeks I'm probably up about 20 lbs. My doctor was never concerned.

Re: at what point would you be concerned? weight gain related
I remember with DS, I had lost 4 pounds by 12 weeks. They were concerned why I was losing weight. They wanted to make sure I was not throwing up. I just told them I just did not eat as much but I was eating and made healthier choices. AND I had HUGE food aversions. And since I had a few extra Lbs that's why I was losing weight.
I had problems with meats. They told me I had to force myself since it was good for the baby's brain.
I was not able to eat chicken my entire pregnancy.
I started gaining weight at 16 weeks.

ITA, at 34 wk appointment I was up 22lbs-and I was underweight to begin with...baby is measuring right on target though, I wouldn't worry.

Re: at what point would you be concerned? weight gain related
I'm in the opposite boat. When I was preggo with DS I was only up 3lbs at 18 weeks, this time I was up 7lbs by 12 weeks (haven't gained anything in the past 2 weeks, thank God.) I guess it's like they say- every pregnancy is different. So I wouldn't worry too much. If your Dr. is concerned they will say something, otherwise just let it be.

Re: at what point would you be concerned? weight gain related
Pregnant with DS up 1.5lbs @ 10wks
Pregannt with DC#2 -1.75lbs @ 10wks
DS is 8months and I still have 10lbs to loose from that pregnancy. Doctor said do not plan on gaining the 35lbs that I did with DS. She said because I still had 10lbs left over that I should shoot to gain only 20lbs. She wasn't being mean but she knows that I don't want to have a weight issue after this DC.
I wouldn't worry.

Re: at what point would you be concerned? weight gain related
With Noah I lost like 15-18 lbs by week 20.
I think I lost 20 lbs in total. I ended up gaining 22 ( never gained one lb back till week 34-35)...
He is healthy as can be. I wouldnt worry at all

I wouldn't be worried. When I went for my ultrascreen and 12 week appt on Monday I lost 3 lbs. The dr wasn't concerned all...asked if I was eating and I said yes and they said the baby is measuring a week ahead so everything looks great.
Good luck tonight seeing your little one again!!!!

Re: at what point would you be concerned? weight gain related
I wouldn't worry, at 13 weeks I think I am up 1lb. I feel like I have actually lost weight in other areas, but my belly has gotten bigger. You have to remember that the body is using a lot of energy to support this new life!
