At what week did you get your first internal?
I am 35 1/2 weeks today so I wonder if I will get one at my Dr.
Also - did everyone get a Strep B test? I read somewhere they stick a q tip in your rectum?
Will we have any dignity left by the time this is all over?

I am 35wks 1 day and had my 1st internal last night, along with Strep B test.

I had my Strep B test last week... Nothing went 'up there" lol
I'm not sure when I'm getting my 1st internal.- Prob at my next appointment on Monday.

I had the Strep B test and an internal at 36 weeks
I did NOT get an interal at 37 weeks
My doc said he does not like to aggrevate the cervix and cause things to happen that arent ready
I have an appointment tonight for 38 weeks - not sure if Ill get one tonight

My first internal I was just about 37 weeks. She also did the strep B culture and yes she did take one vaginally as well as rectally!! But I barely felt it, it was super quick.

My first internal was at 36 weeks and yes, he took the strep b culture from my rectum but it wasn't invasive. It was a 2 second thing - just a swipe, no probing.
