Atlantic City
We are looking to go for my birthday/anniversary in February. Which hotel do you recommend? I don't want to stay at some cheapy motel and also not at one that will break the bank... somewhere in between. TIA!

when we go, we stay at bally's. its right near the outlets. they have a great buffet there

We stayed at the Tropicana. The hotel rooms were clean and the beds were ok. The casino and mall is really really nice.

DH and I stayed at the tropicana a few years ago for valentines day and got a fabulous deal on a suite. it pays to go on a Sunday to Thursday. You get a great room at a great price. it also is a little early to book for february when looking for package...they usually come out in december but here is a sample of what they have right now to give you an idea.

We usually stay at Harrahs because we get a lot of free rooms there. It isn't on the boardwalk, it is in the Marina but you can take a Jitney for like $2 each way to any of the other hotels. They are doing a lot of renovations and the rooms are beautiful, especially in the new towers!
