Attending a wedding which is "nice casual"..are flip-flops ok?
We have a wedding this weekend in NYC which will be under the Brooklyn Bridge then going to Manhattan for the reception.
They said we can wear "nice casual". Being that we will be walking around the city, do you think nice flip-flops are okay? I can't walk in heels for my life

no flip flops.. although I think that a nice pair of flat sandals like gladiators, etc. would be fine or even a wedge

I think 'nice' flip flops are fine. Maybe something with patent or rhinestones, something that makes them dressy and not beachy.

There are so many nice looking and comfy flat sandals or a cute low, strappy heels. You can even bring flip flops in a bag and change into the strappy sandals when you get to the wedding

No, I don't think any type of flip flop is appropriate to wear to a wedding. There are plenty of nice low heeled or flat sandals that would look much nicer.

Who is going to be looking at your feet? If you want to wear nice flip flops I say go for it. The bride and groom will be having too much fun to notice, I'll bet

Get a nice pair of flat sandals. Still casual but not "beach".

For a casual wedding, I'd do a nice cork wedge with a pretty dress. NO flip flops though!
