Audible books
Anyone use the Audible service through Amazon?
I absolutely love it! I listen to books everywhere.......... in my car, in the shower, while I'm getting dressed, while I'm food shopping. It's great!
Any good recommendations for books? Especially those with with really good narration.
Thanks!

Re: Audible books
When I drove to work, 30 minutes each way, I used to listen to a lot of audio books. Now, not so much. I like authors that read their own books (most of the time... some writers should ONLY write, and not read... ). That way, you get the nuances in that the author intended that you can't get by someone else reading the same words. Stephen King and Neil Gaiman are my two favorite authors that read some of their own books. I like their reading voices, and their writing style/stories.

I use to listen to books a lot too back when I was commuting two hours each way into Queens every day. It was the only way to make that drive tolerable.
I've been trying to find ways to fit it in throughout my day now, I forgot how much I love listening to books.
I'll check out Stephen King, haven't read him in a long time.

Re: Audible books
i've tended to listen only to non-fiction. i feel it's like a really in-depth podcast lol.
i haven't gotten into fiction. i get lost.
i'll give stephen king a shot! i enjoy reading his stuff and it might be nice to hear him read it to me!
i love audible. i go between the books on there and my favorite podcasts for my commute and "do not disturb" work time.

I don't know about the narration but I am finishing up Cloud Cuckoo Land and it's a rather long book. It might be nice to listen to it.
