Auto Insurance.. Who do you have and what are you paying?
I think I'm paying to much for what I have.... So what are you driving and how much are you paying and who?

I am paying too much- but it's b/c of a few accidents
2009 Mercedes ML350 (owned not leased) $200 a month
and a 2006 Mustang listed a pleasure car less then 10K miles a year
$150 a month
$350 for both in Nass County-
Allstate- $400 deductible and Mercedes make you have all the max coverages
once the mustang sells I will be ok and probably raise my deductible to $1K

It depends a lot on the coverage. I pay about the same amount that most of my clients pay but because DH and I have no tickets and one accident that was not my fault at all, I get great coverage for the money. I find that most people have payments of about $150 a month but that varies based on coverage and driving history. I've been paying every 6 months and then I forget how much. I just paid and cannot even remember!

We have two auto policies with allstate- we lease vehicles- so we have the max required....
$800/year for CR-V and $1100 for civic

I pay $147 a month for 2 cars for the year. I have Metlife, we have an 07 camry and an 08 explorer full cov 500 deds 100/300 BI

Just from these posts, its time for us to switch from Geico
I just switched from Geico to Liberty Mutual when I added a second car and saved $1100/yr (for the same exact coverage)!!! I basically added a car for free. So definitely check them out too!

I live in Levittown PA but the rate is comprable to what i was paying GEICO when i lived in brooklyn..
05 Toyota Matrix
Financed so we have full coverage (fire, theft, glass, etc.)
2 drivers: DH , 32 yr old clean record
Me 30 years old, clean record
$1140; i pay $285 every 3 months.
not sure as to what the coverage limits are or the deductibles.
ETA: company is Erie Insurance..not sure if they provide insurance rates for NY.

Wow- that's a lot of money... just compared to what we pay for the cr-v- You could probably do way better- I would try Allstate..

It really depends on your coverage and discounts.
I pay $1,650 a year for 2 cars - a 2001 saturn SL2 and a 2005 jeep liberty.
I have 100/300/100 coverage. No accidents, good driver, loyalty and 10% discount for the defensive driving course. I have Geico.
No other company could come close to what I pay with Geico.

I pay 1320 a year (660 2x a year) for a 2009 CRV. I have pretty decent coverage.
My rates are going to go up if I dont renew with my defensive driving course.
ETA: I am with Geico

It depends on a lot- Vehicle, Coverage, deductibles, defensive driving, you history with a company, your history of accidents, violations, mild credit.

I pay $780 for 6 months for a financed altima...Its ridiculous, my deductibles are $1000
I need to start shopping around!

I really think it all depends on each person's experience. I actually switched from Liberty Mutual TO GEICO because I felt like I was getting ripped off by Liberty Mutual. With a completely clean record, they kept raising my rates every year and they had no explanation as to why it kept going up. I switched to GEICO and saved a lot of money.
We currently have 3 cars and pay $175 per month for all 3 of them, full coverage.
I can say that we have had GEICO now for over 2 years and our rates have not gone up at all.
AND, we live in NJ which is notorious for having high car insurance. I was amazed at what we are paying.

Thats so funny that you are asking today... Yesterday I spent over an hour calling different places...
Currently I pay around $1300 geico...
I called Statefarm, and they wanted $1500
and I called MetLife and they wanted $1700...
So, I stayed with Geico...
I guess I will check out Liberty and also Progressive today.

Also keep in mind that if you are under 25 and female your rates could be higher. If you are under 30 and a male it could be higher. Also, if you are single not married it could be higher.

We have All State. $205/month for 3 vehicles. 2 own and 1 lease. The one on lease I have to have the max coverage. They are all at the same coverage though.
MUCH MUCH cheaper than Geico. We quoted a lot of insurance and we stick with All State. They are always the cheapest for us.

We have Allstate but i live in NJ
We have a 07 Crv
and a 2001 S10
ans we pay about $1850 for the year
Eta: we also have full coverage on both cars and high coverage limits

Sometimes it pays to switch, or sign up with your existing company as a new customer so you get the new customer rates.
I was with allstate for 4-5 years; got a call from my agent telling me that if I drop the coverage and reapplied as a new customer, I would save 1K a year just because of the new promotions and rates. So I did just that.

Can I ask why you would lower your coverage?
As a professional I wouldnt advise it as a sale.
