Automatic soap dispenser with the motion sensor VENT
DH bought one and brought it home a few weeks ago. It has been the burr in my butt since.
He theorized that it would help us be more green by using a small amount of hand soap, and it would help promote being germ-free, as you don't ever touch the antibacterial soap container, you just put your hands under it.
We put it right near the kitchen sink.
Well, let me tell you... when doing the dishes and a long soup soon handle comes under it - SOAP
When you get frustrated and go to move and forget not to hold it a certain way - SOAP
Anything that comes under it or near it gets SOAPED
so annoying!!!!!
silly vent over.

Re: Automatic soap dispenser with the motion sensor VENT
that reminds me of when DH's grandparents were so excited about their new garbage can that has a sensor so it automatically opens. Now they hate it because it pops open any time they go near it

it doesn't really go off by mistake, but if I'm doing the dishes and I have a lot in there, and a long handle from a soup spoon ends up under the sensor thing, it goes off. It's really my fault, I should move it.

Re: Automatic soap dispenser with the motion sensor VENT
I don't like any of the automatic dispensers (soap, paper towels, etc). I often wind up wasting more product with those. Sometimes I only need half of what it dispenses, but I can't control how much comes out, so I get too much. When it's manual, I can dictate what I get.

What I dont like about it is in the colder months... the soap gets a little thicker and is slow to come out, or if I get a different kind of soap, sometimes its to thick.
