Ava Rose's Second Birthday - Please help me decide!
Hi,
I am in the process of starting to think about Ava Rose's 2nd Birthday.
For her first birhtday we had it in the yard with like 60-70 people. We won't be doing that this year. :)
I wanted to have a real kiddie party for her and I was thinking of Kidz Connection in N. Babylon. You can choose between Arts and Crafts or a Costume Character. I jsut don't know if she will be old enough for that at two. The kids who will come to her party range in age from 3-11. Mostly 6-7 year olds. Do you guys think that would be a good idea. Or, should I do a yard party again with the character coming to the house??
OR White Post Farms. Just not sure if Ava is old enough at 2, although she LOVES animals....
Anyone have any suggestions?? I would really appreciate it. Thanks SO much, Denise

Its so funny you posted this, I remember us planning our DD's 1st b-days like it was yesterday.....
I'm thinking about Julia's 2nd b-day party also...
I was thinking White Post Farms (I feel they are old enough), or Gymboree.

Hi,
That is funny!! I remember too. It was yesterday practically, wasn't it. :(((
Have you ever been to WPF? I hear so much about it, but have never visited it. It just seems a little expensive to me..

Re: Ava Rose's Second Birthday - Please help me decide!
Hi, I have an Ava also. Isabella is her middle name.
kidz Connection is great. We have been going there since it opened about a year ago. We take a class there and go to open play. I have booked Ava's 3rd birthday party there for July.
The party there would be nice for kids up to maybe 6 or 7. The owners are very nice and do a great job. The price is very reasonable too.
I have been to a ton of parties at White Post Farms. Two is not too young. Your daughter will love it. My best friend just had her dd's there a few weeks ago. With 15 kids, tax and tip, it was over $600- a little expensive..
We did Ava's 1st B-day in our backyard. We had Collesium Deli Do a BBQ and Elmo was the entertainment. For the 2nd B-Day, we had it at the Pet Den Party Jungle in Commack. Great party. They did an exotic animal show and the kids got to touch the animals. We had about 20 kids and it was about $700. Tooo expensive!!!
Good Luck, and enoy whatever party you choose.

Re: Ava Rose's Second Birthday - Please help me decide!
I just had Kevin's 2nd birthday at White Post Farm last weekend and it was a hit!!!!!!! I highly recommend it if you want to spend the money - some say it is on the high side of kiddie parties. If your daughter loves animals and isn't too shy - totally worth it. My average age for the children was 2 and all the kids had a good time. Almost all the 2 year olds did not take the pony ride. I had about 6-7 that were 2 and only my son and one other took the pony ride - rest were scared. But the under 2 crowd and the over 2 crowd almost all did. But the 2's enjoyed the animals feeding and climbing on the trains and stuff they have set up. When I called they said 2 is a perfect age to have a party there. But that day after the party, the girls that ran it said that when they heard 2 year old party, they were concerned it was going to be a rough one but they said my son wasn't shy and so willing to try everything that it went well - they said often 2 year olds don't respond that well. Something to consider. WPF really ran a great party and I couldn't have asked for more.

Thank you all for your responses. I think I am leaning more towards Kidz Connection for this year, and maybe next year do WPF. We will see. Thank you all once again.

Yes, I was there last year and its a lot of fun, Julia had a good time, but she was still a little to young to understand it all.
I'm just not sure if my family and friends would want to travel that far to get there... I mean its really not a bad drive, just some like to complain if its not down the block!

We did the Wood Kingdom in Huntington. Kids had a great time! It was also pretty inexpensive compared to the gyms
