average cost of converting oil to gas?
Can anyone tell me approximatley what it would cost to convert from oil to gas?
We have someone coming to the house tomorrow to give an estimate and I just want want to make sure they don't take us for fools!
The gas line is already within 100 feet of the house. So we do not have to pay to get them to run it to the house.

We already have gas in our house for our stove and dryer, so when I got quotes to convert the water and the heat, they were anywhere between 4K and 9K.

Our quote was around $7k. We are doing it next month. ETA - we have 3 zones.

We converted last year and the total was 9K - however this included a forced hot air to baseboard heat conversion as well.

We converted last summer for 4K. That included chimney liner, new burner, and one zone.
