Re: avocado and mango
I just mushed the avocado. I haven't tried mango yet. Just keep an eye on her for any rashes after the avocado one doc told me because of nut allergies.

Re: avocado and mango
Oh. I just read aja's post now and I decided to give her some mango tonight. I cut a little from it and mixed it with some water in my mini cuisinart. I'm not sure if she liked it or not. I plan on giving her some more tomorrow.

Re: avocado and mango
For the avacado I cut it up into pieces and put them on her high chair tray and she scoops them up and smoshes in her mouth. They are very messy slippery suckers but she loves them. It's one of the few veggies that she always devours. She'll eat a half avacado at a sitting.
We haven't tried mango!

Nut allergies? That's strange, it is a fruit/veggie with a pit in it. I have NEVER heard that before, I would think this would be a HUGE no-no for infants since no nuts ofr at least the first 2 years. Are you sure?

That's what one doc in the practice told me. He was young maybe he wanted to show he was wise I still gave it to him anyway. They all say different things.

Re: avocado and mango
I was told avacado was a safe beginning food. In the beginning I would mash with a little EBM, but by 8-9 months I just let him self feed little pieces
Mango, DS never took too, but I did try giving it in that mesh food holder

oh, ok, not too wise though if he is giving a HUGE incorrect feeding guideline.
