Hot Clam Dip


¼ lb. butter
1 medium onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 ½ tsp. oregano
¼ C. green pepper
grated parmesan cheese (to liking)
½ c seasoned bread crumbs
parsley (to liking)
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 cans minced clams
1 8oz. pkg. Velveeta
dash cayenne pepper
dash paprika

In saucepan, sauté in butter: onion, pepper, garlic, oregano, parsley, cayenne pepper. Add clams (with juice), lemon juice, stir in breadcrumbs and diced Velveeta. Stir until melted.

Place in ovenproof dish, top w/ parmesan cheese and paprika, bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
