I love this show!
I hate that its on so late....but I did catch last nites.

I feel bad for Matty, love him but he totally deserved what happened.

It could so be her mother, but Sadie is tricky...so who knows. Also the guidance counselor is a suspect of mine.
while i do think Matty deserves it, I remember that he is a 16 year old boy and got stuck between a girl he likes and his bff.

Love this show.
I have thought her mom wrote that letter for a LONG time. I never thought it was Sadie.. there was too much (misguided) desire to help in it.
I feel really badly for Matty. He didn't want to disappoint her OR his friend. It's a hard road to navigate when you are in high school. Sh*t.. it's a hard road to navigate when you are an adult!
The thing is that Matty is hyper conscious of what people think of him. It's a fatal flaw that a LOT of people have. Some of us grow out of it when we hit adulthood, but some never do. He's insecure in who he is.. and honestly that makes me feel SO badly for him.
Jake is a dork - he's so happy go lucky that it makes me want to slap him. I think I prefer Jenna and Jake as best friends rather than BF/GF.
Also - HATED Jenna's formal outfit. Blech.

Last night was the 1st time I watched this show and I loved it! I'm going to have to catch up on the reruns. Matty is so hot! I remember him from Desperate Housewives.

Matty's just not comfortable with himself so it kind of fits that he's not comfortable with the idea of a girlfriend.. much less one with Jenna's current notoriety. And he doesn't know HOW to have a girlfriend. I mean he said he's never done the relationship thing at all. He doesn't know what works. Jake's had a girlfriend, he knows what they like (no carb ice cream, holding hands).
I get the impression that Matty's family is all effed up (his brother was rotten drunk when introduced) - I hope we'll see more of that next year. I think he's attracted to people like Jake and Jenna because he wants to be like them. But he's not. He's also not Sadie.. poor kid doesn't know where he fits but it seems pretty clear he needs both Jake and Jenna.
I still think the mom wrote the letter.. she's been dropping hints all season that she's just completely dissatisfied with who her daughter is (and who she is). I feel like it would be too OOC for the dad to have written it... but you never know!

I love this show and loved last night's episode!
I never thought about her mom being the one who wrote the letter but it would kind of make sense if it was. Her mom always wanted her to be more popular, and outgoing so maybe it was her way of trying to push her out of her shell. I definitely don't think it was Sadie, never did. Sadie is too upfront and in her face and if she wrote it, Sadie would be more than proud to announce it to everyone.
I really think Matty loves her but he is stuck between wanting to stay well liked and wanting to be with her. I think he was finally ready to out them as a couple but it was just too late. I get the whole stuck between the bff and her but this whole season, he has been embarassed to be seen with her. I think Jake is a little too chipper for me but I do love that he accepts her and has always been there for her.
Can't wait for next season!

and...the Mom did say she was sorry when she hugged Jenna in the dress.

I love matty!!
I get why she was mad at him...but she never really lets matty fully explain himself...she still thinks he wants to hide her but now it was just about not hurting his best friend...
i do think it was kinda wrong of jenna to go for his best friend...
i like jake, but i want matty and jenna to be together!! we can find jake a nice girl!

Oh man, I hate when my dvr does that! Okay, at the very end Jenna was looking through a junk drawer in the kitchen while her parents were out and she found a bundle of paper in there that looked familiar, it was the same color and had the same design on the top as the letter she received in the beginning of the season. She ran upstairs and compared it to the letter and it's exactly the same paper making her believe it was her mom. That's how it ended.

oh sh*t! I had no idea!!!!! And thats an IMPORTANT SCENE, thanks for explaining it to me, I seriously hate when the dvr just stops!! It def. makes sense that her mom or even dad would write that letter,but didn't the first one call Jenna a pu$$y lol, i dont like a parent saying that LOL
