Ayone Intersted in an Immaculate Hyundai Elantra!
Hi, my husband got a company car and no longer needs his Elantra. He finances it. There is about $10,000 left so you can either pay it outright or take over the payments. It has only 13,000 highway driven miles on it and a 10 year bumper to bumper warranty. If your interested or know of anyone intersted please let me know. Thanks so much. Oh its midnight blue.

How would you go about taking over payments on someone elses finance? My brother wanted me to do this with his truck and I never did but I was curious on how this works. DH's transmission blew and he needs a new car.

Re: Ayone Intersted in an Immaculate Hyundai Elantra!
My DH finances through Toyota Financial. I called a few days ago and they said most people who buy a financed car will get a bank loan for a certain amount. The bank will then take over the financing. For example. lets say the car is 10,000 the buyer would get a loan from a bank for however much they needed lets say 8,000. The bank would send something to the owner and Toyota that would relinquish all previous parties from responsibilty. The buyer would then deal with their bank. I never really asked if the new owners can just go through Toyota is a document is drawn making them new owners. I can call and ask if you want. Let me know, no pressure. Hope I explaind it well.

I think I get it. So now does my credit change the amount of financing though. Could it raise of lower the payments? Or is it just a matter of switching names on the documents? I dont mean to be a pain I just want to make sure I know what Im talking about when I bring it up to DH.
