Now I'm crying.
no worries...I'm feeling a bit emotional about mommyhood at the moment myself. My son is very attached to me and sometimes people make me feel like it's a bad thing and a "Habit" that needs to be broken...but he's only 9 mos old and growing up fast. These moments are ours and one day I'll long to get them back again...I'm going to enjoy every second!

Re: Babies don't keep (link to printable for nursery)
I posted this a while ago (after my son was born).
I'm glad someone else has great taste, I absolutely love this poem!!
Here is the whole thing in case anyone is interested!
Mother, oh Mother, come shake out your cloth empty the dustpan, poison the moth, hang out the washing and butter the bread, sew on a button and make up a bed. Where is the mother whose house is so shocking? She's up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.
Oh, I've grown shiftless as Little Boy Blue (lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo). Dishes are waiting and bills are past due (pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo). The shopping's not done and there's nothing for stew and out in the yard there's a hullabaloo but I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo. Look! Aren't her eyes the most wonderful hue? (lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).
The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, for children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow. So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

amen! I don't regret for one MOMENT that I coslept or that I refused CIO or that she was near me, on me or with me for months on end. I knew then that I'd miss those sleepless nights cradling her in my lap and rocking her to sleep and I do. I knew then that I'd miss that bright eyed expression and gurgles as she learned to kick her legs and use her fingers. Sure my time COULD have been spent doing cleaning or cooking or all sorts of other things. Out with friends, a break from the baby, someone's wedding, a party in the park, a trip to somewhere, anywhere, but My place was with my daughter. I work full time, so I absorbed her as much as I could. I close my eyes and I still see my baby. I have literally thousands of photos and nearly 200 videos but the girl in that lives in my memories is sweetest of all.....
